What is a QR code doorbell?
A QR code placed at an entrance points the visitor to a web-based interaction. The system behind that page then connects the visitor with the appropriate resident or household. The QR code itself is simply the starting point; the usefulness comes from the workflow behind it.
How JAXIAN uses QR codes
JAXIAN can use a QR code at an entrance to start the intercom experience. For JAXIAN Home, that provides a simple front-door experience. For JAXIAN Intercom, QR can also be used as an apartment-building entry option. Residents are contacted through WhatsApp.
When a QR approach makes sense

When a dedicated entrance device may be better
A QR code requires the visitor to have a suitable phone and connectivity. Some buildings may prefer a dedicated compatible tablet so the intercom interface is always physically present at the entrance. Accessibility, lighting, weather exposure and visitor demographics should all be considered.
A QR code is not a lock credential
Scanning an intercom QR code should not be confused with presenting a secure access credential. In the JAXIAN intercom flow, the QR code starts communication. Controlled-door access, where required, is a separate part of the system design.
What about QR code replacement or copying?
Physical QR signage should be installed and maintained like any other entrance information. Building teams should periodically check that the displayed code has not been damaged, obscured or replaced. The security of any resulting action depends on the service and access-control design behind the code, not on treating the printed image itself as secret.
